ASCENTEK OFFICIALLY BREAKS GROUND ON MAF BUILD: A MILESTONE FOR GROWTH

Shreveport, LA – January 30, 2026 - Today marks a defining moment for Ascentek and Shreveport, Louisiana. We’re thrilled to announce that we have officially broken ground on our transformative Manufacturing Assistance Facility (MAF) expansion at our Shreveport location - an investment that signals the start of a new chapter for our operations and the communities we serve. This groundbreaking isn’t just a construction project - it’s a commitment. With an investment of more than $50 million, we’re building a future of advanced manufacturing and distribution to meet rising global demand and deliver even greater value to our customers and their end users.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

The groundbreaking kicked off the construction of the 270,000 square-foot MAF, connected to our existing site. This state-of-the-art addition will feature:  

  • Advanced material handling systems  
  • Expanded storage capacity  
  • A cutting-edge battery management facility  

These enhancements will position Ascentek for long-term scalability and operational excellence.  

WHY IT MATTERS

The expansion is projected to create 91 new direct jobs while retaining 105 existing positions. According to Louisiana Economic Development, the ripple effect could generate 338 jobs regionally, reinforcing Shreveport’s role as a hub for advanced manufacturing.
